Our Preschool Board

Little Thomas reviewing his vocabulary cards.

Captain Rex reviewing the sight word is.

Practicing our number 6 ryhme from ABC Jesus Loves Me.

Made loop and then a hoop! Six!

Counting 6 Purple M&Ms and putting them on our number 6 card from 1+1+1=1.

Our sight reader from 1+1+1=1 and the flash card I made using poster letters on laminated cardstock. This sight reader is awesome for teaching positional words.

Don't they look so peacful reading together? Why can't they always work together like this?

Using our positional words prop from 1+1+1=1 to practice concepts such as over, beside, above, etc.

Letter builder for letter E. See my post about letter builders for more on this...

Captain Rex used circle stickers on his Do-A-Dot letter E from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

Elephant lacing card from Confessions of a Homeschooler. This was a great way to review positional words over & under and of course it is also great fine motor practice. Captain Rex worked on this beside me as I nursed Tinkerbell.

Little Thomas reluctantly laced his after the promise of a piece of candy for whoever finished their lacing. He was pretty proud of his lacing can't you tell?

Pre-Writing Practice
Getting ready for letter E from 1+1+1=1.

Elephant pre-writing practice from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

Elephant letter match from Confessions of a Homeschooler using 1 1/2" wooden discs from AC Moore.

Little Thomas decided the letters then needed to go for a ride on has train :)

Elephant patterns from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

Elephant size sorting from Confessions of a Homeschooler. Little Thomas is still in between Tot School and Preschool so of course size sorting is not one of his favorites and he gave up pretty quickly. And like most toddlers he is picky about what he wears...thus the reason for the cute outfit he matched up himself :)

Letter E Poke Page from Confessions of a Homeschooler. I don't quite trust my 4 year old with a push pin yet so we use a toothpick.

Feed the Elephant game from Home Grown Hearts. This game is great for hands on counting practice...but it isn't super fun to make cutting out all of the peanuts!

Big E and little e sorting from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

Here is a cute cut and paste elephant shapes craft from First School.

Elephant cutting practice from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

Memory verse cut and tape from 1+1+1=1.

We also did the letter E search from Beginning Reading but I didn't take a picture.

File Folder Fun
I found this neat magnifying glass game at Bible Story Printables.

Computer Time
We played the letter E game on Starfall.
We watched the Letter E power point show from the members only section of 1+1+1=1.

Chicka Chicka Tree
We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and placed the letter E on our tree. I got this idea from Confessions of a Homeschooler. Our tree came from the Dollar Tree and we used paper poster letters.

Next we are going to work on J is for Jesus!
